Susan Boyle, a housewife of 47 years, surprised the jury of the British television program" Britains Got Talent "( the English version of X-Factor) with his amazing voice.
When Susan comes on stage, with its modest appearance, ugly, sloppy, and already there with the years, the public and the jury laugh, expecting a ridiculous performance. But when the woman starts to sing the judges eyes wide and take the applause: Susan has a beautiful voice and sings beautifully.
Every time I look at the video of his audition I get emotional.
Perhaps because his performance and the lyrics give me chills.
Maybe because I love the idea of a story that gets her happy ending even when it seemed too late.
Maybe because I love the idea that for once the protagonist of the dream is not a pretty young princess who was waiting to be discovered, but a woman who now no longer hoped.
Maybe because I like the fact that, in a cynical world like ours, sometimes what people are yet to triumph over what they seem ...
